Re: Galaxy Note 3 - Signal Drop Out and Not Regained

Ive a galaxy note 3, and up untill last week ive got this annoying issue now.
The handset wll drop down to no bars.
Triangle appears in top left hand corner of notification bar.
Then the phone locks out.
Have to re register onto the vodafone network before i can use it again.
Problem started at work, now its happening at home.
Where ive always had no issues.
Its gettin me angry.
Repeated calls to tech support.
Been told this morning to change network setting.
To WCDMA GSM auto connect.
Will try it today and see what happens.
Or another call to vodafone in the morning.

Hi there

I am not sure why you posted on a thread specifically about an issue with the HTC One X, but I have moved your post to the Samsung section where you are likely to get a better response.

One of the first things to do is get a new SIM card - this can often solve a number of issues. You can get one for free from your nearest Vodafone Store. If this doesn't work, try a hard reset on the device and don't install any apps. See if that improves the signal problem. Failing that, the phone may need to be sent off for repair.

I'm having a similar issue, loose signal but not able to regain. I go on you the option to scan networks and it just takes ages and does not find a network. Most of the time I have to reboot phone. Annoying..

Have you noticed if its one area or all of the time? Could be a network issue.

if its all the time then try a new sim and then a factory reset.

if its still happening the phone may need to go for repair.

I have heard good reports from others who have gone direct to samsung.

I should add the quickest way to get a new sim is to call in at a Vodafone store, they will provide it and activate for you.

Ok this is not a sim issue or a phone issue

what your taking about is 4G dropping out i get this on my S5

its a Problem Vodafone has got and its with there older 3G stations where the phone is not seeing the 3G and switching the weeker 4G off

In areas were they have had 4G for a wile they have also upgraded there 3G as well so when looseing a 4G it goes to a stronger 3G if that is what is in the area, if not it should switch to 2G

But all thats happerning is were getting No signal

for Now

in week 4G areas eg at home i would switch 4G of this tells the phone to lock on to 3G

Vodafone had this issue in London with the S4 and Note 3 but they have solved this

and i'm sure that as they roll out more 4G they will sort this out
