I have a red leader phone with 20Gb of data per month that I use to share data with 2 other phones on my account. As this phone number is not used, I want to terminate the contract and use my main phone as the leader. After spending the usual hour or so being passed around different departments and getting cut off, I am told that this can't be done until my main phone is also due for an upgrade which is 2 years away. When I renewed my main phone contract, I got it with more data than I needed so that I could use it as a leader phone, now I am being told this can't be done. I think it can be done and as usual the people I speak to don't know their job. Can anyone tell me if I am being advised right or wrong.

Hi @alanaac
You have been given the correct information, your main phone is already in contract which has its own terms and conditions and until that contract ends or is paid off meaning early termination charges, you won't be able to change the tariff to a red sharer which has different terms and conditions.
There is further information for you below.
There is further informating on the Terms and Conditions below.
