I have 6 missed payments showing on my credit file!! Over the last 6 months.
To cut a long story short I switched providers and had to wait for my new provider to pay me my buy out fees to pay Vodaphone. In the meantime while I waited for the money to come to me I set up a payment plan with BPO on Behalf of Vodaphone and paid monthly - for the last 6 months. I then cleared the remaining balance 12 months early as soon as my new provider paid me.
NONE OF THIS IS REFLECTED IN MY CREDIT FILE it still shows as missed payments every month!!
This is putting me in a serious situation as I need to take out some credit and am being refused loans.
what on earth are Vodaphone doing with peoples credit files!! ??

This may be a broadband account @amandacw
BPO are a debt collection company, Vodafone would have sold on the debt as a last resort after attempting to collect payment and it would be out of Vodafone responsibility. Probably the worse thing you could have done is set up a payment plan, this means you are unable to afford your commitments.
Vodafone have a duty to report as a forewarning to other creditors as to how you handle your affairs and it's unlikely to be removed until it's run it's 6 year course. The form to complete is here Contact us about your credit file There is further information here Your Credit File
Credit reference agencies are there to help and support and you may also find some helpful information from the agencies. The agencies Vodafone use are on this link Credit checks

It’s been terrible, again, to cut a long story short I was looking to reduce my monthly outgoings and switched to a cheaper plan. My new provider didn’t tell me they were not paying my buyout fees for another 8 months. So while I waited for the lump sum of money to pay the buy out fees I had started this payment plan.
I was told by my new provider they were paying my buyout fees but I wasn’t told it would be 8months down the line.
I tried to help my financial situation by finding a lower phone bill but instead I’m spilling out of control ! All stemming from this.
WARNING TO ALL… if you switch provider check when they actually pay your buyout fees!!
