Last year in June Vodafone messed up my direct debit and it caused me to miss a payment. I checked with my bank and they said there was no issue my side and the direct debit was still in place, I told Vodafone and they admitted fault. They reinstated a direct debit and assured me it would not affect my credit file.
fast forward to now and I applied for a DIP for a new house and I have been declined. I looked at my credit score and Vodafone have placed a missed payment charge and my score has plummeted. I am trying to move before the stamp duty increase and now I have to deal with this .
how fast can Vodafone rectify this and remove the charge from my credit file ?
Thanks

I appreciate how damaging a default can be from my own personal experiences @Knavehollow
Please contact the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Facebook or X and they'll put this in the hands of the Credit File Team.

They should move fast when the default is a mistake.
You could also contact one of the Credit Houses to ask for a Notice of Correction to be added to your file. They'll tell you if this can be actioned or not.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎
