Hi, I've requested my PAC code as Vodafone couldn't match a sim only deal I've seen elsewhere. A shame as I've been with VF for more years than I can remember and no effort was put in to retain my business, the usual web deals given to me on webchat, then repeated a few times.
I suppose they want new business rather than to retain customers.
I have had an email saying my PAC code has been text to me but I haven't received a text. I can't reply to the email as its not a viewed email address.
My contract ends on the end of March, shall I wait until the end of February to request anothe PAC code so I can take this with me when I leave?
I have also asked for a phone unlock code from VF.

Hi
The text maybe delayed so do continue to watch for it.
A Pac Code remains live for 30 days do you can work out when you personally want to use one. Using this will automatically cancel your Vodafone contract. Don't cancel your direct debit until you've received a Sorry Your Leaving Letter and £0 bill. Vodafone will send you a final bill by post too.
By waiting until your contract end date and ringing 191 and choosing Thinking of Leaving you should get through to retentions who may be able to offer you a deal.
None of the above will affect an Unlock your phone to all networks request.

I didn't realise that using the PAC code cancelled my contract automatically. Thats good as it saves me contacting VF to do it.
There are some good deals out there at the moment and its a shame VF can't or won't match them even though they tell me they are the UK's biggest mobile operator.
I've always managed to get some sort of deal from VF in the past when my contract comes to an expires but all good things come to an end i suppose.
Just a shame they didn't try harder to keep my business.

Hi
Yes as soon as the rival network uses the Pac Code you pass to them instigates contract cancellation.
Vodafone and other networks in my experience do not match deals but instead try to tweak their own in order to retain you. They can only go so far and occasionally only with phones available to do deals with etc.
Please take into consideration that not every Network provides the same signal strengths and Data Speeds everywhere, and in the same area. I assume to this point Vodafone have overall supplied a useable Service. Moving Networks may affect this.
That said I wish you well.
