Just got a prompt last night for an update of 155mb.  Haven't noticed much yet other then the messaging app has got an upgrade and now adding emoji doesn't convert a text message to MMS. There's a Rich Communications option under Network which is related to the sms app.

 

Baseband version: I9505XXUGNH7

 

Anyone else got this? :cathappy:

Hi Everybody

 

As you may have noticed, we have merged a number of threads surrounding RCS together into one thread per device. This has been done so all the conversations can be done in one place rather than in several different threads. This means we are making sure that we can monitor the posts easier and when we respond we are doing so to everybody on the one device.

Here is a screenshot..I wasn't rooted so I went ahead with it.  I need to do a full reset at some point soon as I haven't after the last few updates.  Performance just about the same as far as I can see.

How do i stop that annoying text notification since the update telling me text just got better blah blah... i don't want it, it just keeps asking me for my mob number?

I downloaded the update and now the android IMS framework is draining my battery by 40% in about 2 hours.  Can you tell me how to roll back the update?  It's killing the battery life for me.

HI Laura thanks for the reply its not a text message its after the update it keeps every 2 mins notifying me text just got better when i press it it wants my mob number. ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!

I went ahead and verified the number and also downloaded that Vodafone Message+ app but hated it and took it off again. Back to the regular app and I'm not getting any prompts now.
