Hi could you advise of any restrictions costs etc (making/receiving UK, also Data) for using a Vodaphone contract phone in the Falklands.

Hi,
You'll need no roaming bars enabled via your online myvodafone. Customer service can help too.
4G not available in this country.

The Falkland Islands is in Rest of World Zone 1
If a person is calling another Uk Mobile Number then it'll come out of their Vodafone minutes allowance.

I would suggest that you have your phone unlocked to all Networks so if needed you can use a local SIM card.

Roaming rates are realtively high, according to the Vodafone roaming page:
Description Charges
Make a call | £1.65 a minute |
Receive a call | £1.30 a minute |
Send a text | 35p a text + your home rate |
Send a picture message | 45p a picture message |
Use data | Daily charge of £3 a MB for the first 5MB, then £15 for each 5MB after that |
