SIM Swap through from broken SIM

Hi all,

I've recently upgraded my work (IBM) phone to an iPhone SE, and it came with a new SIM card. Which was a relief, as my previous SIM card had, coincidentally, stopped working.

So after a bit of digging I found the online form to swap my number over to my new nano-SIM card (it said it would take up to 24 hours)

However, it has now been over a day, and I've still had no word from Vodafone nor does my new SIM seem to be working.

Hi

A sim swap can indeed occasionally take upto 24 hours.

Turning the phone Off and On can help.

A sim swap has to be done to a blank sim card and usually you would receive a text to your old sim to proceed.

As your original sim card isn't working then the process is http://www.vodafone.co.uk/vodafone-uk/forms/sim-swap/index.htm

From https://support.vodafone.co.uk/Account-bill-and-top-up/My-SIM/Help-with-my-SIM/38915574/How-do-I-tra...

If you still are stuck then Live Chat maybe able to help.

Or your most local Vodafone High street store can sim swap for you.

Hi @wevans13

If you are a corporate or large business customer, you will be unable to use the SIM swap form and will need to contact your Business Manager to change the number to a new SIM.

If you are a small business customer, it is recommended to get the SIM change done in a Vodafone Store.  The number has to be put onto a plain blank SIM.

Further info below.

How do I transfer my number to a New SIM?

If you continue to have problems, please use the contact us page of the website and choose business.

Just to be clear, the new SIM card that came with your new phone will already have a number assigned to it, and won't be suitable for the SIM swap process. Unfortunately it's the one aspect of the process that isn't made as clear as I feel it should be in the Support information.
