SIM only deal discount - not sure what to believe.

I signed up for 12 month contract at £22.20 (40% discount). When checking account stated it was £37 with no discount applied. I contacted web support who applied the discount for only 9 months. I then contacted again and it was applied for 12 months (Still shows 9 months though so not convinced). Receieved my first bill yesterday which is generated as £37 and I'm told this is normal and discount applies from second month. 
 
This doesn't seem right, why wouldn't I be paying £22.20 for the length of the contract? It also doesn't seem it was changed to 12 months as My Vodafone still shows it listed as 9 months. Seems like something has gone wrong here and I've now contacted chat 3 times and keep getting fed different information, none of which is helpful or seems correct. Please can someone from the Vodafone Social team actually help me resolve this as I'm getting nowhere through the usual support channels.

Sorry can't help but I have the same problem theres no where in the small print that says that the discount does not apply for the first moth of the contract.

Everytime you talk to someone they tell you something different which really makes you frusrated and fed up,I dont think that the majority of the team know what they are doing and as for them recording the conversations for training purposes I dont see how they can as they keep coming up with the same issues and problems. 

I had the discount applied from day one of the contract but will sympathise as I also had issues with my contract when first joining. Team here sorted it out though as call centre and chat team were useless and just lied consistently.

Looks like my red deals are messed up too! Only have Spotify and Sky Sports.

Unbelievable! My partner has just signed up for the same deal and is having the exact same issues.

Support have said it takes 10 days to apply, then 5 days. What's with all the lies!

 I  ordered one of the sim only deals, the red value which they are advertising at £32 per month with a £40% discount for twelve months which I have purchased I registered online and now this plan is being charged at the full price of £32 and states that it is only for nine months??? By looking through the forum I know I am not the only one but how can Vodafone get it so wrong?

It's probaly the only thing that they are consistent at!!

Now have to contact them again which I really  not looking forward to as I feel like I am constantly complaining and moaning at them,I counted on my statement that I had called them 18 times over the past month some calls lasting nearly two hours without any successful outcome ,I have been with them for 7 years without any prior problems but then I wasn't altering my plan before.

Considering 3 of us now have the same issue hopefully someone from Vodafone will pick up on this. There must be some underlying computer issue here and the support teams just don't seem to be able to deal with it.

I contacted Twitter team last night and they asked me to fill in a form saying they'd be in touch so I'll let you know how it goes
