Samsung Galaxy Express 2 NUC code doesn't work

Hi

On 17th January I requested an NUC code for my Samsung Galaxy Express 2 which I received the next day but when I tried to use it I just got the message saying it was unsuccessful.

After online chat with Vodafone I was told that the only way to resolve it would be to email the NUC resolutions team and was given an email address to contact.  I did this but just received an automated email reply saying that to unlock the phone I will need an NUC code and once they have this I will receive an email.  So no response to the fact that I already had an NUC code but it didn't work.  I've tried to follow this up with another online chat but I was told the only way to contact the NUC resolutions team is by email.  I'm no further forward.  Can anyone help?

Thanks,

David

Hi @Walter2

When your inserting the non Vodafone sim card is it activated.

Ie in another phone it will make calls and send texts etc ?

Unfortunatley as the Nuc department is not customer facing there is no contact number for them.

If your not getting a response thats helping then id suggest to phone customer service or use Live Chat to advise of this and request further support by them contacting their Nuc Unlocking Department.

This recent thread that discusses unlocking a Samsung Phone albeit not your model points towards keying in a master code first and then use the unlocking code. Im not sure it will help you but here it is just incase Unlocking-Galaxy-S6.

Good luck.

Hi, thanks for your reply.  No the new sim card isn't activated yet.  I'm moving across to giffgaff so they've sent me the new sim but I thought maybe I'd have to unlock the phone from Vodafone before I could activate the giffgaff sim?

I've tried Live Chat twice but all I get is that they say I need to contact the NUC resolutions team by email as they can't contact them on my behalf but when I contact them all I get is the automated response saying they will issue me with an NUC code (which I've already got).

You mention putting in a master code first... Is that a PUK code or something else?  Do you know how/where I'd get the master code from?  Would that also be from Vodafone?

Thanks for the link - I'll check that out too.

@Walter2 So we can take a closer look into what has happening, I've sent you a private message with details on how to get in touch.

Once we receive your email we'll work with Samsung for you to get the phone unlocked for you

Thank you John. I've replied to the private message and will wait to hear.

Cheers.

David
