Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is showing 5 bars via Sure Signal, but phone itself is not regsistering

Good evening,

We have an apparently functioning Sure Signal 3, with all of our mobile phones registered successfully, and most of the time working.

However, the one phone - a Samsung S4 Mini is reporting an error that it cannot connect to network - but only when it tries to use the Sure Signal. This is despite the phone showing 5 bars of 3G. We've reset and rebooted the Sure Signal, and all other devices remain A OK.  We've reset the phone in question. We've driven to areas with outside signal and the phone works.  Even if we turn off the other phones, so it is the only one on, it still fails. It's just the one device not working on the Sure Signal, and we're flummoxed.

We have around 2.5 Mbps at the moment from a BT Hub 4. Ping tests give us a B rating (i.e. ok just not super fast). Phone number is registered to the account and has worked previously.

Thank you.

Hi,

Can you try turning off 4G in the phones settings to force it onto 3G which is what the Sure Signal pushes out.

Hi @Anonymous

Try removing the number from the list of numbers on your online account and registering again after 24 hours.

Please see below.

My Sure Signal is working but not with my phone.

You do need to make sure 3G is enabled on the phone.

Thank you.  Did the trick.

Another Q - is Sure Signal ok with John Lewis Broadband supplied hub? We're looking at moving, and they seem to be our best option at the moment,

Kind regards.

@Anonymous We're not aware of any compatibility issues with our Vodafone Sure Signal device and the ISP (internet service provider) router you've mentioned.

If you do happen to have any issues, please let us know and we'll help.
