Hi,

Will Vodafone have to check the 5.1.1 update for the S6 Edge before it is rolled out or does it come directly from Samsung?

Thanks,
Ant

I haven't noticed much difference either.  Although, the A-Z sorting of the app drawer is back.

Wow, I dunno what I am doing differently but I am getting about 40 hours of battery life.... I do put on flight mode at night though.

Hello guys, I think that's a shame for rolling the update for so long, t-mobile users already have it. That's the latest device that is expensive and I expect more about it!

Hi

As per https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Account-specific-discussions/Firmware/m-p/831995 they want to ensure any OS Firmware Update does not clash / interfere with their Network and services.

It's then typically on a staggered rollout when ready.

Nope, there won't be any comment from Vodafone either - take a look at the firmware statement a few posts up for further info.

The XEU version has only just rolled out in the UK - 22 June to be precise.  Currently none of the network providers have 5.1.1 - it is only available on the XEU devices (despite what is being claimed above).  It will take a while before the branded devices get the update.

Android 5.1.1 is now available for VOD devices, version G925FXXU2POFC.

As always, please make sure you have backed up your device prior to installing this update.  Also, make sure you have charged your device up and have adequate space on it for the update.

I'd recommend using Samsung Smart Switch for PC to install the update on your phone using the data cable as this will give you the option to recover the situation should anything go wrong.  Smart Switch is the replacement for Kies.

Should you have any issues after updating, it would be a good idea to perform a factory reset on your device and seeing if that sorts the problem out.

Please do remember that, as with any update, there could be issues with it.

just s6 920 to go now

@tynewearfutsal - it may be worth checking to see if there are any updates.  I am just doing a bit of digging at the moment, and it looks like it may be out . The emphasis is on may...
