Samsung S3 Galaxy suddenly won't accept messages from my Iphone 5s

My wife upgraded her VF contract from a IP4s to a Samsung S3 in June of last year at the same time I upgraded to a Iphone 5s,since June 2014 no problems at all

However in the last few days my text messages to her do not arrive,upon inspection of her phone it seems that when I send her a text , it comes up with a message on her screen

" Unfortunately messaging hasstopped" 

But the mesage doesn't arrive,even when I am sat next to her

She has no problems receiving text from others on Iphone

I looked on the internet and saw a fix option to DL Go Sms pro,hich I did and this cured the problem,I then deleted Go Sms Pro to see if would work on the Samsung std service but it didn't , so she is using Go Sms Pro as a work around , is there a way to get the standard service working ?

We have cleared her data,cache and restarted but still she has the problem

Can anyone offer any advice ?

I've not seen this before and it's rather odd.

The first thing I would do is check the software on the handset is the latest version possible.

If this is the case, back up the information on the S3 and reset the phone back to factory settings to see if this clears the error.
