I have also posted this in 'the lounge' section. BBC1's Watchdog programme tonight reported on this problem. Anyone affected should either watch it on the BBC iPlayer.

The way I saw it was that it's Samsung that are responsible here, not the service provider youre using. Advice I would be inclined to give to anyone experiencing this problem is to cut out the middle man (service provider) and go straight to Samsung, you'll probably get a better, quicker service with a lot less hassle.

You need to put the routing code (it looks like ABC123) with nothing else and no spaces in the subject box. If you don't do that, your message isn't directed correctly and you get the response you have.
I'd probably be inclined to go direct to Samsung on this as they have it pegged as a known issue. Anything sent to Vodafone is likely to be passed back to them, just adding a middleman to the timescale.
The Watchdog piece mentioned people putting their phones on something soft, like a bed. It's generally not a good idea to put anything that's charging onto a soft surface due to possible oveheating issues (if only due to the insulation factor). A hard surface will conduct heat away for longer and is less likely to catch fire.

Hi @Peteboo
You need to make sure WRT165 (with no spaces or extra characters) is in the subject line so that the email comes to us.
Thanks,
