Hello there,

Anyone got any dates for when Vodafone will be offering the 32gb version of the S5?  Have contacted Vodafone CS but they don't have a clue.

Anyone out there got any idea, my S3 is up for renewal in a couple of weeks, it is the 32gb version............

Thanks in advance.

I'm not a gamer so I don't know if that app can be stored on the external SD card but a lot of apps can be moved there. TomTom definitely stores its maps on an external SD card. You can now easily get 128GB external cards.

I have a 64GB card its full with my media.

as far as I am aware Android Kit Kat does not let you move apps to the SD card any more!

I think Samsung devices still allow that to happen. It's worth checking that out. I don't have a Samsung device here anymore so I can't check it for myself.

I'm using KitKat on an HTC One M8 and the move option is definitely there.

is that only to the internal SD card(16GB) or external(64GB)? dont the apps sit initialy in a 2 gig internal storage area on the phone.

yes it does

after having the S5 a week the 16GB is now full move to SD only moves the app not the app data.

16GB is just not enough never had this issue with my old S3 32GB and my original galaxy S was 16GB so this a step backwards, I  never had to worry about maintenance of the storage. I shouldnt have to worry about move to SD or removing apps to get another one flash memory is cheap and a few quid saving in production has crippled the phone.

great phone but disappointed that only the 16GB was available.

Not sure what you have running but I too had a 32 gb S3 and was concerned about only 16 gb on my new S5.  However, I am running axactly the same apps on the new phone and have only used 10 gb, with at least 4 gb taken up by the operating system and the normal rubbish that you never use.  So, just check you have moved everything you can to the SD card (apps included, use the apps manager and this will tell you which ones you can move), then make sure you download a good cleaner like 'clean master' as moving the apps still leaves stuff on the internal storage and this will get rid of that.  Then check, where you have apps like Google Play Movies that you have pointed the storage at your external SD card, it defaults to the phones internal storage and just moving the app does not move the video's.  Finally, check photos in DCIM, again the camera defaults to the internal storage and you have to manually move them.

I bought a 128gb microsd card and , have 6 gb storage available on the phone and 64 gb free on the card.  Hope this helps?

chunky you missed the point. I shouldnt have to worry about this, 16GB is far too small for a variety of modern apps. It doesnt take much to fill 16GB I should not have to install apps that clean the system or move stuff to SD aside from the fact Move To SD does not do what is says on the tin as the app data remains in internal storage. flash memory is cheap when you buy a 32GB microSD card under a tenner in retail and 64GB under 30 retail, cost for a manufacturer is minimal to put this as the standard storage on the phone.  I had this with a cheap chinese tablet with 8GB storage and put a 32GB microsd and set this up as the default mounted internal drive I cant do this with the S5 as standard.  S3 I had choice 16GB or 32GB with Vodafone but what choice do I have now? Shame as the phone is good apart from this storage limitation and tarnished my experience with it.
