I purchased myself a new VF contract 2 months ago on a Samsung Galaxy S8+ - All worked fine with no issues. On the 6th October Vodafone called me to offer me a deal on a Samsung Tablet with data bundle, which I accepted...since that day I have been unable to make calls using my vodafone sim in my S8... Other carrier sims work in the S8+ no problem at all. My sim works in any other handset. I have tried other Vodafone sims in my S8+ and none of these work.
Been to the vodafone shop and had the sim swapped 3 times.. been on the live chat and they could not help. Took the phone to samsung who did diagnostics on it and the phone is OK.. I checked with live chat just now to see if my phones IMEI had been blocked from making/receiving calls on Vodafone but i'm not sure if the agent fully understood the issue.. Because the phone is 2 months old VF will not replace it so I am currently paying £50ish a month for a brick
Anyone else had this issue? Would be nice if someone for vodafone would get in touch to escilate this issue.

Hi @rostrop
Is this affecting calls to everyone or particular contacts - I’m thinking if a number has accidentally been added to its blocking feature ?
Can you make and receive texts and use Data ?
If not as your sim works ok in other phones this points to your phone.
If this was my phone I’d be tempted to try backing up and factory resetting even tho Samsung says it’s fine.
If that didn’t work and Vodafone are saying your account is set up fine and there are no relevant bars in your myvodafone then even tho I was out of the 30 day network satisfaction guarantee I’d highlight the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the 6 month stipulation. And mention if they can’t help then to issue me a Deadlock Letter so I could engage the Communications Omsbudsman. And re highlight all seemed to be ok until the recent account activity to add a tablet.
Vodafone do have a complaints online form but before that perhaps let the Vodafone Social Media Team here catch up with your thread so see if they can intercede to help.
