A couple of weeks ago i had to have a replacement sim card as my phone kept informing me my sim card isnt registering. Now the same problem is happening with my new sim card.

I can only believe the problem lies with the phone.

I've just tried to navigate vodaphones 191 service to talk to someone but cant seem to find the right extension.

Any ideas.

You could try Live Chat (Contact Us at the bottom of the page).   They can re-try the activation for you.   A few activations get stuck, though, so post back here if it still doesn't work.

Hi. Already did that last night. The rep advised to to try a few things which i had already done so then she advised me was to call 191 between 8am & 9pm as thats when the support team are there. Havent had chance to call them yet, but will do in abit. Cheers

I blame the recent S4 phone updates that Vodafone pushed out. A lot of people are complaining of their phones not being able to reconnect when they emerge from a poor coverage area.

Mine was fine before the updates....but not now.

Most problems that arise after an update can be fixed by a facory reset.  Don't forget to back up your content and make sure your contacts and calendar and sync'd first.

Yep I did all that. Vodafone decommissioned the local mast in my town and they haven't bothered putting a new one up even though they have planning permission.
I won't renew my contract.

That's a network rather than a device issue.

Hi @loftysaltmarsh,

Sorry to hear the experience you've been having.

If there's a fault logged in your area here, we'll update the link once it's fixed.

Thanks,

Rodney

I was saying my phone doesn't re-connect when I return to an area with a good signal.

The fact my town doesn't have a mast was an aside.
