A factory reset may solve the prpblem
If you continue to have problems, please take the phone into a Vodafone Store for them to look at the phone.

Hi
If after checking all the settings and nothing helps then you could try backing up your information and performing a factory reset.
If that does not help then if you acquired the phone directly from Vodafone then pop it into one of your local stores where they'll take a look and if necessary send the off.
24 month manufacturer warranties are placed on them. This wouldn't cover issues from a drop or water damage.

Thanks, so how do I do a factory reset?

I have to turn it off by pressing the small button on the side

Have you tried changing the sleep setting? If you can turn it off altogether, do that, then turn it back on. It's also worth clearing recent apps (tap the square button beside the home key and look for an X or 3 staggered lines). This frees up resources and can fix a surprising number of minor issues. You could also power-cycle the phone, if you haven't already (shut it down, give it a minute, then restart it).
To do a factory reset, go into the main Settings menu and look under Backup & Restore. Be aware that this will put your phone back into its out-of-the-box state, so back up your photos and any other content. If you want to keep SMS, look for an app called SMSBackup+, which will back them up to your Google account. Your contacts and calendar should be sync'd with Google (check on the website to make sure) and re-sync when you sign in again.

Sometimes, if system resources are stretched, a simple restart clears things out and re-initiates everything. Android is pretty good at memory management, but some apps don't release memory back as they should. A periodic clear out of running apps (see above) is worth doing.
