You're welcome.
After 30 days of using it on Vodafone's network making calls , not to 191, using data, sending texts and topping up you'll be able to unlock it.
Ir if still within 30 days of ownership you could return it.

That is good news, because you can unlock it after using it for just 30 days. Make sure that you use it to make calls, send texts and use the internet so that the IMEI number gets recognised and then request that the phone is unlocked using the NUC Request Webform

It is a great phone - I had a play with one and was really impressed with it! Enjoy the handset! It's a pleasure!

Hi @sidsilver
You have the Vodafone Ultra 6, which is exclusive to Vodafone, is Vodafone branded and has all the settings preinstalled. Downloading new settings will do more harm than good. This is probably the reason you don't receive the configuration settings when you text.
You can turn on your mobile data by pulling down the notification bar at the top or by going into your data settings and turning on from there.
It might also be worth checking you have not set the phone to turn off data automatically by setting a data limit on your data counter setting application on the phone. If you go to your APN settings on the phone, you need to make sure you have checked prepaid if you are PAYG or contract WAP for contract.
If you continue to have problems, take the phone into a Vodafone Store for the staff to take a look.
