Just had an update for my Smart Ultra 6, still on 5.1.1, any idea what it was for? issues etc.

How big a file is the update. 

A small file typically points to bug and security patches. 

Create a back up before updating and if necessary carry out a Factory Reset if the phone starts to glitch in any way.
