My thoughts on this one are: if the store has no loan phones then there's not much you can do.
BUT... it's the insurance company you're paying. It's them who say they'll provide a loan phone whilst yours is being fixed so I'd contact them. It's up to them to provide, so if they can't get one from your local Vodafone store then that's not your worry. They'd better go and get you one from elsewhere.
That's what you pay them for!
Good luck!

Hi @gazmix
I appreciate your frustrated but unfortunately with courtesy phones it's always been a situation where they can supply one if a unit is available at that store at that time.
Appreciate you haven't a spare.
How about family, friends or work colleagues?
I had to have the screen replaced recently on my s7 edge and realised I didn't have a Back up phone. I purchased a relatively cheap smartphone for around £30 from a well known Supermarket. There are cheaoer one's available too.
I did this then also knowing i had a Back up phone for future use just in case the need arises again.

Hi @gazmix
Thanks for getting in touch.
Unfortunately if the store don't have an available loan phone, we don't have another way of supplying one.
It may be worth popping to another Vodafone store, to see if they have any available.
Also, in reference to moving to a SIM only package, we're only able to provide insurance on a phone that's been supplied by us I'm afraid.
However, if you plan on using the same phone we'll be able to keep your insurance running.
Your cover won't automatically cancel at the end of the commitment. It will continue as normal each month with your package, until you request any changes.
If you need anything else, just let us know.
Thanks,
