Thank you,

it would be a shame to leave as the speeds are excellent for gaming.

And you do advertise the mobile broadband to use with gaming consoles.

If 3 can do it I’m sure the mighty Vodafone can match them.

Many thanks

@Djdavebomb One of our Specialist team has come back with some advice on your query, hopefully this helps 🙂

They've advised the best option will be to set up Port Forwarding on your R218 to try and get round this issue.

Support on how to do this is detailed on several support sites, I'd recommend looking here and here

On this separate link it includes a Vodafone Mobile Wi-Fi Web App User Guide under the 'Extras' tab. This includes how to set up Port Forwarding under the NAT settings options on the router itself - you'll find this on page 28.

Please do be sure to let us know how to get on 🙂

Hi all,

So it looks like I am now parting ways with Vodafone which is disappointing.

I have spoken to technical services and they won’t make my ip pubic.

3 As standard now give a public ip and on testing I have a perminent open NAT which is great for gaming.

Its very sad that Vodafone won’t make public ip’s for us normal customers. They are missing out on a lot of custom.

Fairwell vodafone. 😭

Yes, that's very disappointing. Also pretty baffling, as it seems to mean that Vodafone is deliberately handing a significant group of potential customers to rival networks. Vodafone moves in very mysterious ways....

It is a big shame, because I know many people like myself living in rural areas with no fibre optic who would do anything for the speeds Vodafone were giving me, there is a massive customer base out there ready to be had and the right marketing they would get a lot of new customers from us gamers.

I do hope someone from Vodafone reads this post
