Hi,
I'm sure you can help me on this one.
I've read all the posts in reference to this problem and gone though the troubleshooting guide to no avail.
I'll give you abit of history, i originally had a version 1 Sure Signal which worked fine for a few years.
It then gave up with a very strange light configuration which i couldnt find on the internet. Anyway, i stopped using it as i didnt need the mobile at home very much.
I now need it again so i thought id buy a new version 3 unit and register online in the hope it would solve the problem, unfortunately it appears to be the same, or similar.

Firstly, do i need to deregister my old unit? It isn't currently plugged in, only the new one.
It currently shows both active on my online account.
Secondly, could you resync my new unit at your end please and I'll reset here and see if that helps.
Version 3 Serial Number: 40132609443
Any other advice would be greatly received.
Thanks
Ian

Hi Merzil,
The traceroute looks fine and the old Sure Signal doesn't have any effect on this one. If it's unplugged it won't even cause interference.
I can see this new one hasn't connected with our servers yet, so I've done a resync. Give it a reset for me to pick it up.
If that doesn't help, there are a few more details which may shed some light:
- Your speed test results from here.
- Your ping test results from here.
- Your external IP address from here.
Pop us those and we'll take a closer look for you.

Hi,
No luck with the resync, same problem with the internet light pulsing.
Here is the extra information you asked for.
- Your speed test results:

Thanks for any other help you can add.
I still have the old Sure Signal if you want me to try that one again.

Ian

Hi Merzil,
Thanks for posting. You're right; it can take up to an hour for the unit to come back online following a reset.
If yours still hasn't come back on, would you be able to test this Sure Signal on another internet connection for an hour or two so we can rule out a fault with the unit? If you could try it on a friend, relative or neighbours briefly and let me know the outcome we can go from there.
Cheers, Ben

Hi again,
The problem hasn't changed at home, with the internet still pulsing.
I've managed to test the unit at my office about 3 miles from where i live.
It's been plugged in for 2 hours so far and I performed a reset when i arrived.
Here the unit displays this fault which is rather strange.
The internet connection is a little slower than at home running at around 3mb but it should be ample.
Please can you advise my next course of action
Thank you
Ian

Update.....
After being plugged in for 4 hours it has got a solid red light and the internet light is pulsing, this is on the work connection so it's operating the same as at home now.
Suggests a problem outside my network.
Please advise.
Thanks
Ian

Latest update...
It has now got a service light after being plugged in for 5 hours at work.
I've transfered the unit back home and it works fine.
Im unsure why it's fixed but testing it at another address and bringing it back has sorted it.
