New to Vodafone. Live in a small village so Sure Signal seemed like a godsend. Reason I changed to Vodafone. No luck with SS3 connections. Opened ports as requested, IP is PPPOA, MTU field set to 1500. Download 6 MB, upload .36MB, iMac with latest O/S, so should work. I get a solid Red light and a 'slowly pulsating' white light next to it. Tried all manner of resets. No change. SS3 info. PN 3JR09113ABBA (V3 -EC - PLUG) S/N 40131013290. Dont know what else to do. Help !!!!!:smileysad:

Hi bigcat49,
I’ve just resynced your device for you so, to make sure the resync completes, please unplug the Sure Signal for around an hour and then try again.
If this doesn't help then we really do need to rule out an issue with the Sure Signal. Please try it at an alternative location and let us know the outcome.
Thanks,
Kay

This info may or may not be of help but the SS works with the BT HH3 straight out of the box (on a standard BT provided ADSL line such as mine at least) - no messing about with port forwarding required. So if you haven't tried the vanilla configuration I'd suggest clearing out all the port forwarding nonsense, resetting the HH3, resetting the SS and waiting patiently ... for a good long while ... to see whether it then connects as it should. A good long while may be several days, but hopefully just and hour or so.

To the Tech Guys. I have now done everything including restoring my HH3 to factory reset. Looking at the number of postings, isnt it about time you came clean, and admit there are problems? Can anyone with a HH3 on normal ADSL (noy infinity) state that it works? Also, other postings state that the reset button on the SS3 does nothing, as is the case with mine. Is this a fault? Should I take it back to the shop and ask them to replace it, or should I start a bonfire in my garden and sacrificially burn the thing !!!

Hi bigcat49,
Don't burn it yet!
I've replied to your other post here so that we can look into this in more detail.

Hi rkernutt,
The issue detailed here isn’t affecting specific Home Hubs, so it’s entirely possible that your Home Hub 4 falls under this.
So that we can check this a little further first though, please get back to me with the following:
-Your speed test results from here
-Your ping test results from here
-Your serial number
Thanks,
Jenny

Thx Jenny,
I'm on BT Infinity:
Speedtest: 74.38Mbps down, 16.56 Mbps up
Pingtest: 22ms Ping, 0% loss and 0ms Jitter
S/N: 40131546745

Hi rkernutt,
The serial number you've supplied hasn't been registered yet, have you logged onto your online account and activated your Sure Signal?
Once you've done this, give it a few hours and see if it comes online for you
