Serial number of Sure Signal V1: 21224476289
Phone one: Samsung Galaxy S5
Phone two: iPhone 5s
Broadband: BT Infinity 2 using an HomeHub 5.

Fault: I had me Sure Signal reset in October/November last year as it stopped working, its stoppped working again. Its been like this now for 4 weeks and I've tried resetting ie holding the reset button till it blinks, removing power and keeping the button held until it blicks etc. Only light 1 is on.

We have not had new SIM cards etc. and the phones with up 3G & 4G without any issues in 3G areas.

Please advise.

Hi @giffordc

The Sure Signal’s last showing as connected on 09 May at 21:13.

Please ensure that BT Smart Setup is switched off by logging into the router.

BT can offer support if you’re unsure on how to do this.

Thanks,

Sarah

That time is about the same time I last tried to force an update. The VSS has been powered off since Sunday 10th afternoon as I've been decorating but I've now powered it up this evening (12th May) around 21:15 and it's still not working.

The router does not have BT smart setup enabled.

Hi giffordc,

If it hasn't already been done, try replacing your power supply.

If you require one, replacements are readily available on Amazon or Ebay and cost around £10 delivered.

Regards.

Thanks for the advise.  The power supply was replaced many moons again.

Hi @giffordc

Your Sure Signal connected with our servers yesterday – have you noticed any improvement?

Everything else you’ve provided looks fine, so if you’re still having issues, please try on another connection (a friend or family member’s for example) and leave connected for 24 hours.

Thanks,

Jenny

I've already tried it at another house and no difference.  The VSS has now been plugged in and power on for a lot more than 24 hours without any difference.  The lights go though a weird sequance.  When you power it on light one comes on and stays on.  Then light two comes on and stays on for a while and then starts to flash and then all the lights go off for a while and then it repeats itself and evntually I have no lights on it at all (which is the current state).  The ethernet lights are still green and orange and flashing even though there are none of the other lights on.

Hi giffordc,

Reading your last post, I'm fairly sure that your power supply is not performing correctly.

Compare the similarity of your problem with the first post of this link ..... http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/SureSignal-1-flashing-but-not-working-possible-f...

Regards.

@giffordc

It certainly does sound like it could be the power supply but we're also aware that there's been some issues with BT connections recently.

You can see if the area you're in has been affected here.

The Sure Signal also doesn't show a location change as it should when used at another location.

Please connect using a different power supply, it's a universal cable that's 12v, 1.5amps and has a female connection.
