Hi I’ve had my Sure Signal Box for about 2 weeks and none of my phones are picking up any coverage despite the lights on the front of the box indicating that it is working. I’ve tried re-setting, battery pulls on the 3 different phones which are registered etc but no luck. The system dashboard for my sure signal tells me that I am successfully registered. I seen elsewhere the common questions you have asked users with similar problems and I have therefore included my answers below. Could you have a look at this for me and try and resolve? Many Thanks
Michael

Hello
My Sure Signal SN 40121468876, has been working fine for several months, suddenly it has stopped.
I have tried resetting it several times but it just reverts to the steady power ligh after a period of the the two white lights flashing.
I know that the LAN is fine as it passes through the SS to a printer. I have also tried it on a seperate Port and the same thing happens after reset,
Please advise?
BR

Same problem,
Only the steady power light, does not even try to connect with the @ light or any of the others.
I have two SS's & both the same as of today,
Have been flacky for a little while now,
Internet is fine, tracert I think is fine,
Rebooted powered on/off & Factory reset both.
Had for a few years now so know the equipment and I am so sick & tired of these SS just not being reliable, I actually bought the second unit early on just as a fault checker, I have it switched off most of the time & just comes out when the main one stops (which is quite often), allowing for any factory updates.
It is bad enough that Vodafone have such a awful signal in so many places (even near major towns) but the fact that this, whilst a good idea, cannot be relied upon is disgraceful in this day and age.
I have sat on remote beaches in france in the middle of nowhere and had a full signal, not only gprs or even 3g but HSPA, what is it about the UK, My daugther did a euro trip in remote parts of hungary & czech republic and we were the ones struggling to hold a signal at this end.
What is even more frustraiting is ever more adverts for super fast 4g etc etc (I know only ee at the moment) but in huge swathes of the UK you are lucky to get any bare signal at all to phone or text, even less likely to get 3g data, especially indoors. I would rather they spend the billions for 4g on actually getting the existing infrastrure to be fit for the purpose,
.. sorry about the rant, I have had enough of paying for a service we don't seem to get.
I am going on holiday abroad tomorrow & was keen to keep in touch with my children via texts but as no signal at home now no prospect of that and I won't be around to try & fix it, thanks Vodafone.

Hi michaelnicholas,
Apologies for the delay.
I’ve looked into this for you and both your upload and download speeds are too low. Your download needs to be a minimum of 1MB and your upload speed needs to be 300kb (0.3mbps).
You’ll need to contact your ISP to discuss this further.
Hi rich_wdly,
Your upload speed is fine however your download speed needs to be 1MB.
As above, you’ll also need to contact your ISP to discuss this further.
Thanks,
Jenny

* I have followed all the guidelines for opening ports
* I have verified all the ports are open by a third party scanning them and nmap'ing them
* The VSS has an static IP address assigned to it
* I can see the rules hit in my router logs

* What I am not see'ing is a response from any Vodafone server
* responses from other forums say my external IP is in the whitelist
* responses from other forums say my traceroute is fine
* I am getting nowhere calling 191
* I have not tested the box with a neighbour - please don't tell me too
Can you please let me know if you are see'ing my VSS box attempting to connect to Vodafone servers and if you sending a response?
If more information is needed - let me know.
