Sure Signal - Piece of Junk?

gking

Hello all

Bought a SureSignal V3 about 4 o5 5 weeks ago and I have had trouble with it ever since. It registered fine, I added my phone numbers to it.....and it worked for a couple of days.

Next thing you know I'm half way through callls and all of a sudden the signal dropped out. I go to the suresignal and restart it.

Again, for a couple of days maybe it will work, then it just craps out again.

Tried going through the whole reset process, and it did work for a few days.......but then it started having problems again.

Looking at it now I have one light on it. The light to the left looking at the device. Its solid red. no other lights. Light on my router shows that its cabled correctly.

I am just about finished with this now, it's driving me insane. have I just got a faulty one? Is there anyone i can call that can help me out with this or have I just wasted the best part of £100 on technology that just isn't up to scratch?

Many thanks

Graham

Hi Sukhi

Hope you can help.

At the minute my suresignal v3 has a solid red power light, and a flashing white light next to it.

Interestingly i can no longer find my suresignal in my account. Maybe I am just looking in the wrong place, but it was certainly in there previously with two phone numbers registered to it.

Anyhow, other information you requested is below

Hi gking,

Your Traceroute isn't reaching our servers.

You'd need to speak with your Internet Service Provider to see why this is being stopped early.

 Dave

Hi there

The traceroute I submitted before was to www.google.co.uk rather than to the IP address you specified. My error. It did reach it's destination.

However, traceroute to the requested IP address 212.183.133.177 does not reach it's destination. The IP address it stops on is owned by Vodafone (whois lookup confirms), so is it Vodafone that is blocking me????

See below.

I have lost count now of how many time the Sure Signal packs up. It is surely not fit for purpose.
