Solution

Sure Signal compatibility with Boundless Broadband

Hi, I am in rural NW England and have therefor problems both with decent BB speed and mobile phone reception.

Currently I am with BT Total BB ( best of poor options ). I expect I can resolve the mobile phone reception in the home office with VF SS but will it work with Boundless satellite " FTTM (Fibre optic to the Mast) technology, delivering the benefits of fibre optic broadband with low-cost microwave equipment ".

I have had varying answers from various sources and most sound very unsure of the advice they give.

If this is currently not achievable, are there any plans to develop this technology or have a firmware patch ?

Thanks

Hi Thanks for reply. I have since searched this e-forum for "boundless" and found a thread confirming there is NO compatibility problem. This has now been confirmed by Boundless themselves through email ! Hopefully trhis will be the end of my connection problems. If only Vodafone Sure signal wasn't out of stock !

Thanks anyway;

Hi there As far as I am aware, you have to have a fixed conventional fixed line broadband connection and the SureSignal will not work with any other type. I don't think that there are currently any plans for this to change but the eForum Team will be able to comment further.

Plenty of Sure Signals for sale on ebay mate, you can buy a v2 for ~ 60 quid.

Hi HMiR,

It's great you got the info you needed, we're not aware of any compatibilty issues ourselves.

If you need anything else you know where we are :smileywink:
