Hi there. I have sure signal, but I always seem to get a poor quality line especially on the other end. I've measured broadband speed witht the tester and I get a consistent 3Mbps download and 0.3Mbps upload speed. This should be sufficient to support the sure signal shouldn't it? I don't know what the problem is.

Hi connolo,
The Sure Signal requires a minimum of 1Mbps download, your fine there, and 0.3Mbps upload, your right no the minimum here.
What is most likely happening is that when you are making a voice call and speed drops below the 0.3Mbps minimum which would result in the symptoms you describe.
You might want to try talking to your broadband provider to see if they can do anything to improve your speed, apart from that unfortunatly there isn't a huge amount that can be done.

Hi connolo,
It looks like this is down to your connection.
The upload speed of 0.36Mbps is very close to the functional minimum, and the traceroute steps are all high. Whilst they're not enough to stop the Sure Signal working completely, they all indicate a connection slow enough to affect the quality of the service it provides. The low upload speed would especially come into play if there is anything else using the same connection.
As such, this is something you'd need to address with your ISP, as you'd need to arrange a faster broadband speed. If they say it should be higher, show them the traceroute to demonstrate the times between the hops - particularly focus on steps 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 and 11.
