Hi,
I have a SureSignal v1 which has been working fine for about 4 years. It has lost connectivity since last Saturday (similar to many other posts on the forum) with light 1 solid, light 2 flashing and occasionally light 1 & 2 solid and light 4 flashing.
I have read other posts that say a firmware upgrade has fixed the issue; could I have this one scheduled for a firmware upgrade?

After reading other users solutions I tried changing the power supply. I could only find a 12V 1A one (rather than the 1.5A) but it now works perfectly!! I'm going to order a proper power supply from Amazon... costs about £7!

The information is all fine, so in theory it should be working.
I can see that the Sure Signal is running the old firmware and I've been unable to send the new firmware due to it failing.
This indicates that the box has developed a fault.
Before we condemn it, please perform a reset as follows:
If this is still producing the same result, try it on another connection such as a friend or family members.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I tried the above with no success
Out of interest I put a packet analyser between the Sure Signal and the network. The Sure Signal is sending out DHCP REQ messages and the local DHCP server is responding with an address (which reaches the VSS). However is just keeps asking for an address continually.
Anyway I will get a new one today and see how that goes (but apparently they are in short supply at the moment!).

Funny you should mention about the power supply, I had to replace the PSU around July\August as I noticed the unit was without power one day, so I ordered a replacement from Ebay. come to think of it I am not sure now if it worked since.
Thanks for the reply, I will order a new original PSU replacement and post the update.

Hi @mikey47 ,
Thanks for sharing your fix. This will help other customers experiencing similar symptoms on any devices they're using out of warranty.
Cheers,
