Hi,

Last couple days my v2 sure signal has been playing up, first it was only showing the power light so i unplugged then replugged and left it to set its self up, after 20 min the signal light came on and phone picked up full signal, then after an hour or so the signal light went out, tried resetting again through holding reset button for as per advise elsewhere and disconnecting power while holding reset button. it does regain the signal but then goes back to only the power light on after a while.

Please help serial number is 40110710288

sure signal has worked fine for 2 years or so

Cheers

Barry

Exactly Matt, admit there was a issue on Vodafones side over the weekend, do you not think we would try the trouble shooting advice before we posted in here!

Completely pathetic customer service from Vodafone in not letting customers know there was an issue then your copied and pasted response sums Vodafone customer support up! Be a man Matt and admit it!

Hi Guys,

We have seen a number of people reporting problems to us this weekend, but this should now be fixed.

@SparkyT – As you’ve bought another Sure Signal, you can return this for a full refund within the first seven days.

I’m sorry for any inconvenience you’ve had over the weekend.

@James,

The 7 day return is no use to me as I am unable to return to the shop in that rediculously tight timeframe.  I've also deregistered the old device and set-up the new one.  Despite which, another complaint - dropped calls on 5 bars 3G!!!

Sorry, I'm not impressed with Vodafone on this occasion (nothing personal).  Especially when you consider EE would have given me a 75 to even 100% discount, and 3 would have given their device for free.  I'm going to be making a formal complaint to customer services as Vodafone have failed on their side to deliver the terms of my contract - i.e. a reliable line - despite my paying extra for an unnecessary replacement sure signal.

Hi SparkyT,

I completely understand your frustration but the Sure Signals are already heavily subsidised for all of our customers, which is why we can’t reduce them any further.

If you’re unable to return to the store within seven days, you’d need to speak to the store manager directly to see if they’d be able to accept the return after this time frame.

Hi James,

That's of little or no use to me.  Subsidy is not the issue, the fact is that Vodafone customers are paying a lot for your employers lack of provision of service. If I'm signing up 4 premium phones (Apple/ Samsung) over 2 years then quite frankly I'd expect the signal box for free.  And your main competitors do better than Vodafone in this regard. I would have got a 75-100% discount on EE's box.  O2 do for free/ low cost via a VOIP app, I gather 3 give their box for free (not verified this one yet).  In short Vodafone's competitors are ahead. If it wasn't for my daughter's school location being near a Vodafone tower, I would have moved supplier and may well do so in 10 months time.

I also find that the 3rd gen SureSignal is not working this weekend.  This is the reason I'm no where near my tariff use - no blasted signal despite a box costing £100!!!

So I'd be grateful if you'd pass these comments up the management chain so that Vodafone can consider making changes to improve what they do for customers...  A VOIP app would be the best (IMO) as no new boxes etc.

@Seanow - to be fair - when I've got through to Vodafone on the phone in times past, their customer services department have been very helpful, but their automated system isn't rooting correctly at the mo 😕  Try complaining to BT through their Internet Mail - no response to several emails - at least you got a response!  Sky on the other hand - first rate.

Cheers,

SparkyT
