Hi,
My sure signal is poorly. If I reset it a few times, eventually it works but only for a short amount of time.
I've gone through the troubleshooting guide and no joy. I just get the power light. Sometimes the second light flashes but generally it's just the top light on all the time.
Serial Number 21227825490
ISP Plusnet
Router DLink DSL-2740B
It's worked previously for years (probably) but now it's just not happy any more.
Please help.
Thanks

Hi Mattyboy,
Quite a few of us are now finding the power supplies are giving strange symptoms and failures due to age on the Mk. 1 and 2 Sure Signals...... This could be your problem!
The only way to diagnose this problem is to try another power supply.
The genuine power supplies are available on Amazon for about £10 delivered, or there are some on ebay.
There are a couple of threads relating to this problem .... http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/VSS1-in-constant-loop/td-p/2335822
Worth a try!
Good luck.
Mike.

Good afternoon, Our Sure signal box has stopped improving the signal on our mobile phones. I have tried disconnecting the box, leaving it for 30 seconds, restarting etc. and still nothing happens. Below are the test results you appear to be asking for.

Hi @mitch1875,
To look into this further, please send us your Sure Signal serial number.
Please also let us know what light sequence you're seeing.
Thanks,
Rodney

Hi @mitch1875,
I've pushed an update to your device. Please don't unplug or reset it for the next 24 hours.
After this time, please turn your phone off and back on when in range of the Sure Signal.
Thanks,
Kay

Hi Mitch,
It is possible you could have a faulty power supply.
Your symptoms look similar, but not convincing enough to say it is the problem.
Unfortunately the only way to prove it is to buy or borrow another power supply, but they are not expensive (£3 -10 ), so worth it, and may save you the cost of a new SS.
Further info, see my post above (Message #8)
Good Luck,
Mike.

@mitch1875 and @clfs
There's been some great advice by @cineriv
So we can be sure the Sure Signal hasn't developed a fault, please test this at another location such as at a friend or family members (preferably with a different ISP).

I tried the trouble shooting. nothing worked. I have V.2 sure signal. Had for a year. Was working perfect. In the last month or so - has been very intermittent. Keeps sying - red light (power on) nothing else is working. no 3G signal. I tried everything - factory reset - deregister and re-register. Nothing worked.
