SureSignal has decided to stop working!

Afternoon Vodafone. My SureSignal has decided to stop working; no reason why it just seems to have stopped leaving me with no mobile signal at home. No 2G or 3G from the network where I live. I've tried resets, powering off and restarting, I've checked all the connections between my broadband hub and the Sure Signal but all to no avail. Hun has a single green light on (top one of the 4). When I power down a restart all lights flash once in turn after about 20 seconds of power and then return to just the top light on. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Which Sure Signal model is it ?

If its the 1 or 2 then it can be the power source thats the issue. They are available on ebay for approx £10.

I assume you have gone through all the tips in the dedicated troubleshooting thread in the sure signal boards.

My system was working fine, but then stopped for no apparent reason. Power seems to be OK as the system starts up ok and goes through its test sequence. I've reset the SureSignal, reset my broadband hub, power cables and Ethernet cables all seem to be OK. I've just lost my 3G transmission.

Good Evening

It could still be the power source even though yiur getting lights on the device.

If the troubleshooting tips are not helping , and I hope Tech Support can help or another member can suggest a tip Then just to note The Sure Signal Device comes with a 24 month warranty.

Same here -just stopped working over the weekend.  If I power cycle it the red light comes on briefly, but then shuts off after a short while.

I'm wondering if there's a more general Voda issue with Suresignal at the moment.  Voda guys - any help?

@twynne

Have you tried a different power supply at all?

Normally, if theres no power going through to the box this can be a fault with the power wire, or a fault with the Sure Signal itself.

If there's no changes after you've tried a new power supply, you can see here to arrange a repair.

Hi,

It's all one unit... there's no separate power supply

For the last few days my SureSignal (v3) will no longer connect to Voda at all.  I found it on Monday with no lights on at all.  A power cycle causes teh red light to come on, the leftmost (internet?) light to come on white and flash for about 30-60 seconds, then all lights again go off.

Hi Tom,

It's almost certain that your Sure Signal has failed.

The easiest way for a repair is to return the unit to a Vodaphone shop who will deal with it for you.

The warranty on a Sure Signal is 2 years from date of purchase, otherwise there will be a charge made for the repair.

If a visit to a shop isn't easy, you could deal with it on Live Chat.

http://www.vodafone.co.uk/contact-us/index.htm and they will advise you.

Good Luck.

Mike.

P.S. Your tracert is fine and complete!
