Suresignal Power Light Only

greenwich
4: Newbie

Hi,

I have had suresignal since 2009 and recently it appears to have lost connection and won't regain.

Only has the power light on - if I power cycle, then all four lights come on in sequence.

S/N 21196767061

I have a feeling that the box may be physically faulty - because it has worked pretty much reliably until recently.

Wondering  if Vodafone can see it connecting Vodafone end ok?

I can't appear to see it claiming DHCP address either - MAC address not listed in router IP table.

Regards

Ian

Your Sure Signal serial number:  (see above initial post in this thread)

Hi there greenwich,

Thanks for supplying the requested information.

I've checked everything and it all looks good. The trace route is within the required parameters and the speed test, ping and IP address are all ok so there shouldn't be anything getting in the way of a stable connection.

I can see the VSS was flagged for a resync in January and this has yet to have happened so I've just forced it through for you. You will need to factory reset it to complete the process. Could you let me know how you get on?

  • Hold the reset button till all the lights come on or flash (about 30seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held, remove and re-insert the power lead
  • One all the lights come back on or flash, release the reset button
  • The VSS should come online within the hour

Cheers,

LeeH
