I assume when the phone is in range it should switch to the sure signal , but in reality its not as smooth.
Some times mine will switch over fine , others the phone will want to stay connected to the weak local mast
Is there a way to force the phone on to the SS3?

Hi there
Because the SureSignal transmits on 3G, most phones want to hold onto the weak 4G signal as they are designed to maintain the fastest possible connection. One way around this would be to turn the handset off 4G and use 3G only, this does make things a bit smoother.

Hold on to 4G ? even though i only get a week 2G signal at home , and there is no Vodafone 4G coverage here ?

It was a generic statement as I had no way of knowing whether you had 4G in your area or not. The advice does still apply - switching your phone off 4G does usually help. Most phones have a 2G/3G auto mode and using that should help get your phone to connect with to the SureSignal
