1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service?

i can't make calls at home or receive calls as the network coverage is so poor.

2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs? If you don't want this showing on the Community, add it to your profile here.

3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?

no my husband is also on vodafone and he has better coverage.

4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs?

daily i have to reset the network and can't use my phone at home which is a real hasssle and to be honest most of my phone calls are made and received at home so its a real problem. until may this year i have never had any trouble and been with vodafone for years.

5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all? all but i have no trouble with internet access.

6) When did you first notice this issue? its been ongoing since may i was hoping it would have resolved by now.

7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs? its permenant issue.

is it likely thats its something to do with the phone as my husband has no trouble with his??

Your area shows as fringe coverage on the network checker so signal wouldn't always be brilliant.

Vodafone Network Checker.

As a process of elimination to rule out the phone can you try your sim card in his phone and his sim card in your phone.

In my experience some makes and models of phones can hold into signal better than others.

Thanks for your reply.

we never had problems before with vodafone reception though until may this year.

i tried my sim card in my husbands phone and it wasn't any better he couldnt make a call on it because there was no reception. so what do i do now? its a real hassle!! and worrying that i can't rely on making or receiving calls from my main point of contact.

@Farleylm - I’ve checked the coverage in your area and there is patchy 2G and very little 3G coverage available.

Your local site is currently performing fine.

Try changing your phone network settings to 2G only and this should improve the level of coverage you receive.

i have switched to 2G and been trying it for the past few days with no improvement.

i still can't make or receive calls. Am i able to cancel my contract over this i feel like i've tried all your sugeestions with no improvement unless you can suggest anything else??

i need to be able to make calls its my main contact number.

@Farleylm I can see in your first message you stated your husband has better coverage than yourself in the same location, and when you tried your SIM card in his phone, there was no improvement.

This issue could be relating to your SIM card - you're able to request a new SIM card online via Live Chat or if convenient you could visit your local Vodafone store

I do understand your concern with not being able to make or receive calls, however rest assured we'll work with you and try everything we can to get you back up and running.
