I've given up - after so much conflicting information from VF, I want a PAC code.
Wait for this....
Call 1 to VF today to request a PAC code. 'Yes, sir, you owe us £1,000' - no, I don't have my new phone, you haven't even sent it. 'Put you through to Customer Services'. OK. 'Oh no, sir, we sent the phone out yesterday, you'll have it tomorrow (Sunday???) or Monday'. Ask for a tracking number, since that, according to VF is where the 'most up to date and accurate information about your order' is. That's still saying 'Out of Stock, estimating 9 October'. Agent assures me that the order has been sent. Ask for a tracking number. Get hung up on.
Call 2 to VF. Ask for a PAC code. 'Yes sir, we'll text it you within the hour'. I look forward to it. Can this company run a whelk stand or a bath??

Very similar to my experience, including being hung up on by the customer service agent. His name is Scott and worked today in the business returns team. Every so rude, refused to engage in a conversation, and refused to cancel my order which is awaiting stock. He said it is an upto 8 weeks wait, I just have to wait and can return it once it arrives. Just unbelievable, they refuse to issue me a PAC code and refuse to cancel an order they can't fulfill.

Great - got a PAC code!! I'm FREE!
Off to get a 6+ from Carphone Warehouse with a proper phone company. Good luck to you all - I hope that when (IF) my phone appears at VF, whoever gets it enjoys it

Hi folks,
We're only able to amend or cancel orders within the first hour of them being placed. After this point, a return needs to be arranged upon delivery.

Sorry, but that is demonstrably untrue. I placed the order for my new iPhone on 14 September, and it was confirmed. The order was then delayed until sometime in October, and yet I got my PAC code (and my Vodafone account was closed, with the order cancelled) on 20 September.

Similar story here - I upgraded last Monday and having been disgusted by the lack of communication and downright rude customer service agent I had a Live Chat conversation with (who, having failed to answer my simple questions, just 'hung up' on me), I decided to cancel and move my custom to Carphone Warehouse. I have to say, the agent I spoke with yesterday to cancel my upgrade was very nice and sympathised. Anyway, order was cancelled (iPhone 6+ 16GB, delivery expected who knows when) and I have now ordered from Carphone Warehouse with no upfront cost (as opposed to £99), plus they are giving £25 cashback AND will deliver on Thursday.
GO TO CARPHONE WAREHOUSE people! Clearly Vodafone simply do not care about their customer relations one little bit.
