Travelling abroad

Whilst recently travelling abroad I received spam calls from within the country I was travelling! How did the spammers know that I was travelling abroad? Is there an issue with Vodafone's security which enables spammers to know when users are travelling abroad? Or is there something more sinister?

Hi,

It's quite scary how there are so many ways these companies can get your number. 

I use the call and text blocking facilities in my phone. 

I do not think anything sinister is happening or any Vodafone breach.
