Unable to my friends number

Hi all, I have been unable to call my friend (on O2) for the last two years using an iPhone 5! I can text him ok and he can call and text me but when i try to call him it just ends without any ring tone. We have both spent hours/ days going into numerous Vodafone and O2 shops and on a number of different ocasions speaking to our respective technical services departments. Both companies are blaming each other. I have tried a new sim and I have tried manually dialling the number.

I have been able to call him on the same number in previous years.

Any suggestions before I change networks?

Hi,

Im not too sure what we can suggest if both companies Customer services have failed to find a resolution in two years. 

I assume the number has not been added to the blocking lists. 

Apart from asking Vodafone Customer services to Fully Reset the Account you've already gone through most of the troubleshooting tips.

Try the both of you deleting your numbers from each other contacts and then re-adding them to see if that makes a difference.
