We’ve created this thread to help with online problems that may occur when registering, or managing your Sure Signal.

You need an online account so you can register and manage your Sure Signal.

You’ll receive a text as part of the registration process, which contains a security code. This code is only valid for 20 minutes.

We understand that if you own a Sure Signal, you’ll most likely have little or no coverage, so we recommend you register online when you know you’ll be able to receive the text.

Business customers:

If you’re a business customer you can’t register this via My Account and you need to visit Sure Signal for business. Just click ‘Register a Sure Signal’ and enter your company name as the owner and your mobile number as the administrator - this way you can still make any changes needed.

Consumer customers:

You’ll receive a text or email to confirm that the Sure Signal is fully registered.

Please note that problems can occur, if the number that’s registered as the Owner of the Sure Signal, is different than the main number registered for online billing.

Check for planned maintenance:

Check the forum for any planned maintenance. If there is, this will be announced at the top of the Sure Signal forum.

Planned maintenance can involve changes to the registration system, so wait for this to complete and then retry.

Pending active:

If your online account shows the Sure Signal as ‘Pending Active’, then post in this thread and we’ll look into it further.

All other issues:

If you have any other problems with your Sure Signal registration or management, just post the details below. We’ll need the following:

  • Exact error message
  • Step by step instructions for how to recreate the issue
  • Operating system
  • Browser and browser version

Thanks,

Jenny

Hi KevF,

As suspected the unit is showing as suspended which is why it can’t be de-registered from the original owner and re-registered in your name.

Unfortunately there is nothing more that we can do as you aren’t the original owner of the device, they will need to request a replacement if possible.

James

Sorry James but why is the unit suspended.?

It was working perfectly well at Stewart's house, I then bought it from him.

It was unplugged and then replugged at my house some 2 miles away.

Power light is on it just will not register.

After both of us spending hours on the phone and internet dealing with Vodafone, you have now suspended the unit. WHY?

Is it because Vodafone feel I should be buying a new unit from them rather than a secondhand unit?

Is it because Stewart had now cancelled his Vodafone account due to the complete farce this has become?

I cannot believe that Vodafone now want me to spend £50 on buying a Sure Signal unit when I have a perfectly good one here that Vodafone have decided to suspend.

I feel very let down with the service I have received from your company and will not be purchasing a new Sure Signal from you and will be looking to change providers for my personall and business phones.

Hi KevF,

I'm afraid I have no idea.

The device is still in warranty so you should ask Stewart to contact us to arrange a replacement if he's the original owner.

Cheers,

LeeH

I'm currently unable to add my daughters number (removed for security) to the sure signal. We got a new sim only deal and with it came a temporary number (removed for security), which I managed to register with the sure signal OK with no problems. We ported the old number across from ASDA, but I've been unable to register this number with the sure signal at all for the last two weeks. I get the following error:

When I add new Users to Sure Signal, any Vodafone. I get this error from the webpage.

I've tried IE9 and firefox, I've ensured I'm only adding a Vodafone numbers, I've cleared my cache, cleaned my browser Nothing Nada.

Clearly there is code error on the webpage or the application.

Please advise!

Thanks!

Hello

i'm unable to manage sure signal users which I believe may be due to the portal having me registered as a user farther than owner.
