Unable to register, add or remove users

We’ve created this thread to help with online problems that may occur when registering, or managing your Sure Signal.

 

You need an online account so you can register and manage your Sure Signal.

 

You’ll receive a text as part of the registration process, which contains a security code. This code is only valid for 20 minutes.

 

We understand that if you own a Sure Signal, you’ll most likely have little or no coverage, so we recommend you register online when you know you’ll be able to receive the text.


Business customers:

If you’re a business customer you can’t register this via My Account and you need to visit Sure Signal for business. Just click ‘Register a Sure Signal’ and enter your company name as the owner and your mobile number as the administrator - this way you can still make any changes needed.


Consumer customers:

You’ll receive a text or email to confirm that the Sure Signal is fully registered.


Please note that problems can occur, if the number that’s registered as the Owner of the Sure Signal, is different than the main number registered for online billing.


Check for planned maintenance:

Check the forum for any planned maintenance. If there is, this will be announced at the top of the Sure Signal forum.

 

Planned maintenance can involve changes to the registration system, so wait for this to complete and then retry.


Pending active:

If your online account shows the Sure Signal as ‘Pending Active’, then post in this thread and we’ll look into it further.


All other issues:

If you have any other problems with your Sure Signal registration or management, just post the details below. We’ll need the following:

 

  • Exact error message
  • Step by step instructions for how to recreate the issue
  • Operating system
  • Browser and browser version

Hi,

 

Business user here trying to create an account to manage a sure signal device how ever the reigstration is not completing. After entering the mobile number it sends me the security code which goes in fine and asks me for all my personal details, username, password etc. After hitting submit on this page instead of going to the confomration page i get redirected to the sitemap and the account is never created. This has been tried on 2 computers with 3 different browsers on several occasions over a period of about 3 weeks.

Same problem as many of these good folks, I've been using SS v2 for a good wile without issues with an iPhone 4s. Just this week upgraded to an iPhone5 and the SS isn't working. Have tried phoning support x number of times, someone has kicked the thing at your end, blown on it, whatever - still no signal. I have scanned through the forum and have tried to visit the dashboard to remove myself as owner but can't see where to do this. Any step by tep help greatly appreciated.

Tried everything that has been suggested including the soft reset of the phone - still no signal. Obviously not the SS2 as the other phone number is working fine.

It's still worthwhile you supplying us with the details mentioned in that guide. That way we can check your serial number from here to see if there's anything showing for updates needed or a resynchronisation. :Winking_smiley:

Please can someone help. my sure signal box stopped working and i was unable to access it on my on line account i contacted customer services who said it was deregistered on 1st July. This was not by me. he re-registered it and 2 of the users were missing which he added. i am now able to view the sure signal in my on line account but it will not accept any changes i try and do eg edit names against numbers or add/remove new users. i was told that i would have to contact customer services when i wanted to make changes. this is silly why was it deregistered without me knowing and why can i not make changes anymore. please help thanks
