We’ve created this thread to help with online problems that may occur when registering, or managing your Sure Signal.
You need an online account so you can register and manage your Sure Signal.
You’ll receive a text as part of the registration process, which contains a security code. This code is only valid for 20 minutes.
We understand that if you own a Sure Signal, you’ll most likely have little or no coverage, so we recommend you register online when you know you’ll be able to receive the text.
Business customers:
If you’re a business customer you can’t register this via My Account and you need to visit Sure Signal for business. Just click ‘Register a Sure Signal’ and enter your company name as the owner and your mobile number as the administrator - this way you can still make any changes needed.
Consumer customers:
You’ll receive a text or email to confirm that the Sure Signal is fully registered.
Please note that problems can occur, if the number that’s registered as the Owner of the Sure Signal, is different than the main number registered for online billing.
Check for planned maintenance:
Check the forum for any planned maintenance. If there is, this will be announced at the top of the Sure Signal forum.
Planned maintenance can involve changes to the registration system, so wait for this to complete and then retry.
Pending active:
If your online account shows the Sure Signal as ‘Pending Active’, then post in this thread and we’ll look into it further.
All other issues:

I am having problems with my VFSS V2 - tried rebooting, tried reregistering, now status shows pendingActive on vodafone website.
Help please, had no reception now for 8 hours, local mast is also down! (great job vodafone!!!)

Hi Dave or James are you able to follow up on my email into the problems I am having with adding my wifes phone to my Sure Signal, I haven't had a respose from the email I sent to tech support on James request.

I have an old sure signal box linked to a bt homehub 2 which works well with my current phone. But when I try to register a new phone via my vodafone I get this message
It has been showing this gor several weeks. Can anyone help please. Thanks

Thanks for your posts.
@ miller75 – I can see that everything is matching up as it should do on the registration apart from the location profile.
To update this, please log into your online account and change the postcode of the Sure Signal to ST1 5GP for 5 minutes and then change it back.
@ ricky101uk – It looks like the registration has now completed.
Are you still having trouble?
@ jamied12 – I can see that we’ve responded to your email with more information.
@ mrk1 – This is still showing as registered, you’ll need to get the original owner to contact us to get this deregistered.
@ Hudson – If you clear your cache and cookies, this should be working again.

I suggest this is put on the page that comes up when work is being done and would save customers a lot of time.

What is the simplest way to deregister given that the previous owner is no longer a vodafone customer / does not have online account?

Hi,
Sure signal works ok with my phone, but I can't add users. When I log in to my account, it doesn't show I have a Sure Signal. When I try to register again, it shows this Sure Signal is already registred. All I want to do is add my wife's phone.

I'm not aware of any issues with adding numbers.
I'd recommend clearing your cache and cookies. If you're still unable to add the number you can find out how to get in contact with us here.
