Honest to God!! It's so hard just to get a simple answer or talk to a human being!!
I submitted an unlock request. You have told me teh IMIE number is wrong. I have checked. It isn't.
Can I have the unlock code please?

I understand your frustrated at the situation and I certainly do not want to infuriate you any further but...
May I ask if the phone has ever been replaced via an insurance claim of manufacturer ?
Has there ever been a break from you using the sim card in the phone?

Yes. The phone hasn't been used for well over a year-which is why i want to unlock it as I want to insert a sim from an alternative supplier.

Ok that's the possible issue then.
Inserting the Vodafone SIM card back into the phone and make calls , send texts and use data will help re latch the phones imei back onto Vodafones systems.
Or pick up a Vodafone Payg SIM card and top it up with the minimum amount and use it in the phone for 30 days making calls and then after 30 days request the unlock using the new Payg details. Unlocking is free.
