I have tried unlocking my son's iPhone 4 for my father to use. I filled in an NUC form and received a failure message on the 7th Sept so I tried again and received no response so I assumed it was all in hand and waited. I tried again today and received another failure message. The phone was on a contract with Vodafone several years ago. My father used a pay as you go sim for a while and has now changed the phone to the Coop who look after his landline. I filled in the previous owner's details, the IMEI number, the telephone number etc. I am not sure why I received no response at the second attempt. I have checked my spam emails. I would be grateful for some help.

Hi @janeatwag
If it's been a while since the iPhone was used on the Vodafone Network by your own Vodafone Sim and your dads then it could be that it's imei number has dropped off Vodafones systems.
I'd suggest to pick up a Vodafone Payg SIM card and use it in the phone for 30 days making calls and then use that new Payg info to unlock it.
It's free to unlock so the only cost would be a minimum top up to call and text from it.
Don't fill out too many unlocking requests as Vodafones systems can highlight that as a possible fraud issue.
