Upgrade not done correctly?

Yesterday I did an upgrade via your phone service. They went through everything, confirmed it and then made me listen to a long, pre-recorded terms and conditions message.

 

However, even though they said that would complete the order I don't have a confirmation email and when I look at my account on the website I have the option to upgrade still.

 

I spoke to customer services on live chat and they best response they could offer was I'm sure it's fine.

I called 191 as per the suggestion and they said the order wasn't placed.

 

The guy I spoke to has placed the order again and I got a confirmation email 30 seconds after the call.

Can you check your spam email in boxes. 

 

Also ringing customer services on 191 May yield a better response. 

 

It may also update today in regards to your myvodafone.

Surely the system should update automatically?

I did an upgrade over the phone last week.   I'm not sure I got an email at that stage, but I did get a text.   It may be that the order is still going through the credit check process - how long this takes seems to vary.

Does a person need credit checking if they are already with Vodafone and just upgrading. 

 

I was under the impression it wasn't necessary.

Me too, unless it depends on the cost of the new contract, and maybe relative to what went before if there's a big hike? Some companies have a sliding scale of credit limit relative to history, too.

I can't believe Vodafone would let an upgrade slip. The call dropped while I was as in the middle of mine and they called back on my other number 😃
