Hi, contract is up in a month but it said I could upgrade. So rang vodafone today, got a good deal on iphone 6 so upgraded. Just looked at my vodafone bill and it says the next bill from 6th May-5th June will be £80. There is no way I am paying this. No one explained to me that I would have to pay this much. It was a free phone and I asked him if the next bill after this would be normal, he said yes! I rang vodafone tonight but the man told me to ring tomorrow as he couldn't tell me why the bill would be so large. Could someone explain why it's so large? FYI my current contract is £33 & was changing to £37.

Hi and Welcome to the forum.

As i have no acces to your account here as a fellow customer it's hard to say.

It could be the wind up of your original contract and or a handset fee. Pure guess.

I would suggest you follow the advice given and call customer services as advised.

Thanks. I did call them as soon as I saw the bill. He told me to ring back tomorrow. I'll have to call again tomorrow to see if they can explain. I wasn't charged for my handset either so it wouldn't be that. All I'm guessing is it's my £33 + £37 + Vat but he didn't explain when upgrading I would be charged for two contracts when I questioned this. If I had known I'd have waited 30 days!

I do appreciate your alarm over this but rest assured once you've been able to speak to Custoner Services I'm sure they'll be able to fully clarify your account and bills that are showing.

Would you come back and update your thread please ?

I've just spoken to an advisor who has told me that they cannot see why it would show as this much unless I have discount applied which I won't be able to see. I've just got to wait until the 5th of the month when my bill is generated to see what it will be. My phone was meant to be delivered today as well but it's not showing as being dispatched, and now it's showing as a samsung Galaxy s4 instead of iphone 6! Talk about stressful upgrade!! 😡

I upgraded yesterday. Been on the phone constantly about my next bill as it's showing as £80 but can't see why until it's issued on 5th of the month. Fine. Now I've tried to track my iphone 6 which was meant to be delivered today. It's not been dispatched, but now it's showing as a samsung s4! Seriously this is the most stressful upgrade I've had! Can you tell me why it's showing as a samsung s4?

I'm hopeful this will be straightened out via the way they have advised.

Which phone are you moving from ? Was it a Galaxy s4 ?

If not you do need to speak to them to clarify which phone they've added to the account to provide or you'd have to decline the delivery of the wrong phone and start again with delivery of the correct one !

Are you using a tracking facility ie: https://www.vodafone.com.au/tracking for the phone. If you know the delivery company you could ring them too to gain further info or again speak to Vodaphone customer services or live chat.

No was an iphone 5! Never had a samsung s4. Just spoke to him he said its because I'm moving from a samsung, which I'm not! He couldn't tell me when my phone will be delivered either, even though I was told it would be today. I go away the end of next week too so I'm hoping it's here by then! Slightly stressed wish I had left it! Only upgraded a month earlier as charger packed up for my current phone!

That does sound weird that they had you on file as having that model of phone !

I fear your choice of iPhone may be out of stock 😒

I typically suggest a person upgrades in a store as that way they have more chance of walking out with the phone and don't have to wait around for delivery.

I hope they turn this around for you asap to meet your own timeline
