Using my roaming data in a roam free zone

I'm from the UK I am currently in Italy. I thought that it was supposed to use my regular plan while I'm here but my roaming calls, texts and data have been used. This is an issue because I have run out of roaming data. If I am wrong then please correct me, otherwise, how can I fix this?

Hi @Jamie_

You have global roaming, that means you use your UK allowance when in a roam free destination the same way as you would back home in the UK.

If you have a roaming allowance and a UK allowance, you will be using your roaming allowance first, when this has been exhausted, you will use your UK allowance for calls, texts and data whilst you are abroad in a destination covered by roam free.
