Thank you for your help!!

Hi Birch1234,

Everything is fine with your speed test, ping test and traceroute.

Your IP address is on our whitelist, so no problems there either.

A traceroute follows the path the signal will take from the Sure Signal to our servers.

It will show any high ping figures which may affect the connection.

The flashing power light shows that there is a fault with the Sure Signal, so you’d need to send it for repair.

Cheers,

Andy

Hi. Thanks for this. So I need to send the sure signal for repair? Is this free? Please can you let me know if I need a reference and if I can take this to a store? I am confused as it worked before fine. It's just when we changed the router.

Hi Birch1234,

It may be just coincidence that the Sure Signal developed a fault at the same time you changed your router.

You can try the following to see if this fixes the fault.

  • Unplug the Sure Signal from the router
  • Reboot the router
  • Once the router is working again, reconnect the Sure Signal
  • Reset the Sure Signal by doing the following:-
  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show/flash (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead
  • Once all the lights display, release the reset button
  • The Sure Signal will come online in about an hour

If this doesn’t fix things, just pop to a Vodafone store and they’ll send the Sure Signal for repair for you.

There’s a two year warranty on the device so if it’s within this time, the repair will be free of charge.

Outside two years, the repair will be chargeable and cost £65.

Cheers,

Andy

Hello. Is my device under warranty? I don't have a receipt. Bit devastated if it's not as was in working order before I changed the router and don't have the money to buy a new one.

Hi Birch1234,

The first version Sure Signal has been out of production for a couple of years now, so I'm afraid chances are the warranty has expired.

If you take it in your nearest store, you'll be given a quote for a repair or replacement if you'd rather not purchase a version 3 unit.

Cheers, Ben

Okay. How disappointing. Do I need a reference for the issues when I take it to a store? Thanks.
