This is a new replacement V3 VSS to replace the previous V3 VSS that stopped working. Phone will not connect.
Power Light Solid
Internet Light Solid
In Use Light Blank
Phone is a BB Classic. It will not pick up the 3G signal from the VSS, VSS registered to my account etc. Phone set to 3G only, even in manual does not pick up signal.
Same as most other recent V3 VSS problems. Can you Update/Re-Sync or whatever needs to be done to restore signal please. Clicked on troubleshooting link Click here if all lights are fine, but you don’t have any 3G signal. - Topic not found...
Cheers.

Good evening,
The orgional troubleshooting guide for no 3G signal directs to topic not found. An updated version elsewhere on this forum says to speak to live chat.
the SureSignal IS connected to Vodafone, a trace route IP directs to the vodafone server I am reluctant to post my own IP details on a public forum.
i note this is a common issue with other V3 VSS which appeares to be resolved with an update or resync,
could you humour me and do those first or continue troubleshooting via email please.
Cheers

@rnm - Your traceroute results look fine and the lights that are showing, indicate that the Sure Signal is ready.
I've resynched the Sure Signal, so please leave it connected for 24 hours.

Thank you for a prompt response. It is working again today. Hooray! But have we any idea what causes these 'unprovoked' outages and how they might be prevented? If we could sort that, it would obviously save an awful lot of time and bother, not to mention purple language (mostly directed at Vodafone...)
