I just called vodafone customer service. They have re-synched it. they say "Within a maximum of 1 to 6hrs Marcus, your sure signal will be fully working on your side and fully reflecting on the network as well and certainly as a confirmation I will be leaving this chat documented on the account as a reference for this conversation we’re having and of course you can request a copy of it sent to your emails". sounds good lets hope it works

Hi @tefalman
The light sequence you’re getting is for when the Sure Signal is being configured. This normally ends after a few hours of initially being connected.
Looking at your traceroute, it suggests there’s latency on the line as there are a couple of hops showing a high number.
A resynch wouldn’t fix this.
We need your IP address and also, please perform a speedtest so we can see your upload and download speeds.
Thanks,
Simon

Thanks very much for coming back to me Simon as the resynch did not work.
My download speed is 6.95mbps and upload speed 0.36mbps

Hi @tefalman
Everything you’ve provided looks fine.
Please try the following:
Manually configure your router to allow port-forwarding.
In most cases, routers support a system called Universal Plug-n-Play (UPnP), which sets up port-forwarding for you automatically. If you’ve got a complicated network setup, or a complex router, you may need to enter these settings manually.
Please see the following for a list of IP addresses and port numbers that need to be forwarded to your Sure Signal's internal IP address. For instructions on how to do this, we recommend you contact your ISP or Router Manufacturer, or refer to the default guide for your particular make and model, over at http://portforward.com.
Destination IP Addresses:
Ports and Protocols:
Please note that in the above list of IP addresses, the notation "212.183.131.128/26" means the complete range of IP addresses between 212.183.131.128 and 212.183.131.191
Your router also needs to assign the Sure Signal with a DNS (Domain Name Server) address via DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).
BT Infinity Customers.
If you’re a BT Infinity customer, you’ll need to log into your router admin page and select port clamping.
Once this has been selected please restart your router and Sure Signal.
Thanks,
Jenny

That didnt work. Cant port forward port 500 on that router as it is already in use.
I have now deinstalled my netgear and reimplemented my bthomehub 3 - which always used to work - and reset the VSS2.
Now it flips between 1 light on, just the power light on, and 2 lights flashing.
Very frustrating!

Hi @tefalman,
Please try an alternative 12v 1.5 amp power adapter in your Sure Signal.
I suspect this relates to a power issue.
Thanks,
Matt B
